Created in the year 1800, Charlestown Navy Yard churned out more than 200 warships during its illustrious 180-year history, and maintained and repaired thousands more. Now a part of Boston National Historical Park, the Yard is a popular tourist attraction offering guided tours and a chance to see, up-close, two historic Naval vessels: the USS Constitution and the USS Cassin Young. It resides on the southwest corner of the park, next to Bunker Hill Pavilion.
