The Charlestown Historical Society is a nonprofit organization devoted to gathering and recording the history of Charlestown. In addition to sponsoring an array of pertinent film screenings, lectures, and endeavors such as the Veterans' History Projects, it has been developing the brand-new Bunker Hill Museum, set to open in June 2007. The Society's headquarters reside just east of downtown Boston, near Boston National Historical Park.
